Evaluating the economic effectiveness of business project

This diplome thesisdeals with determining of investment project economic efficiency. Evaluated investment project is redevelopment of urban house into boarding house with restaurant and café. The project is analyzed both in terms of pre-investment phase and 6 years after completion or reconstruction. There is comparison of both analysis at the end of dissertation including optimal solution suggestion of current situation.

Assessment of the Impact of Internal Construction Changes in Appartments on the Market Value

The thesis analyses the impact of building renovation on the market price of a property. The analysis uses a particular type of property - a flat in a prefabricated house. A database of offered market prices before and after the building renovation was created. The price of the building renovation was made by an itemized budget. The data, which were obtain in this way, were then submitted to s detail analysis and statistical testing. The result of the analysis was to determine whether the cost of the building renovation impacted the market value of the property and whether it was evaluated

Application of fuzzy logic as a support for decision-making in financial market

This thesis focuses on the application of fuzzy logic in supporting of decision-making in financial markets, especially in cryptocurrency investment. Firstly, the theory of fuzzy logic and its various applications are comprehensively discussed. Subsequently, cryptocurrencies and their investment criteria are analyzed. Based on this analysis, a fuzzy system is proposed as a decision-making tool for cryptocurrency investment. Specifically, the fuzzy system enables the evaluation of the risk and return of the investment in a particular cryptocurrency. The implementation of the proposed system, using MS Excel and MathWorks MATLAB, is also described. The experimental results show that the proposed fuzzy system is an effective decision-making tool for cryptocurrency investment.

Assessing ecosystem services and the alternatives of their future development in UNESCO Biosphere Reserves

The provision of ecosystem services within social-ecological systems is influenced by multiple environmental and anthropogenic driving forces, affecting natural ecosystems. At the same time, the capacity of ecosystems to concurrently provide different types of ecosystem services is inherently limited. Thus, ecosystem changes and their effect on ecosystem services have direct implications for human existence and well-being. The aim of this thesis is to present a modelling approach to assess regulating, provisioning and cultural ecosystem services and to quantify their potential trade-offs, illustrated by two case studies carried out in selected UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in the Czech Republic, Třeboň Basin Biosphere Reserve and Šumava Biosphere Reserve. Both of the selected case study areas are characterized by high levels of natural and cultural assets and challenges regarding future landscape management. In this study, first the social-ecological dynamics within the study areas was analysed by creating participative scenarios through collaboration with local stakeholders, eliciting their preferences regarding future landscape development to 2050. Current possibilities for quantification and modeling of recreation services

Ecosystems provide settings for a hugely diverse array of recreational activities. Recreational values are among the most well-recognized of all ecosystem services by the public, and human preferences for recreation have been well-studied by economists and other social scientists. From a spatial perspective, we can map sources of recreational value, sinks of recreational value, users of a particular recreation area for a given activity, and the spatial flow that connects users to specific recreational areas. The text presents two key approaches of modelling tools InVEST and ARIES. Methodological approaches are compared with each other and the requirements for data confronted with national data sources.

Mortgage bonds

This bachelor task deals with mortgage bonds in Czech Republic and in Slovakia from the time when these two independent states were formed in year 1993 till the time of the hypothecary crisis in year 2009. It is mainly the definition of mortgage bonds, further bank duties, which have to fulfill to have the right to emit these mortgage bonds and it is also about the analysis of the environment for the potential buyer. Attention is aimed to actual market conditions, including hypothecary crisis, which itself stroke this environment.
